Groomsmen

  • Rhythm
    Rhythm
    Best Man
Rhythm and I have been friends since 2003. We met while djing an event together. If you have ever chilled with us, you would say that we truly have a big brother/little brother kind of friendship. Whether I want to just bug out, or if I have a serious life issue I need advice on, Rhythm is my go-to guy. The deep conversations we have had about Life, Love and God over the years have inspired me as a person. When you see him at the wedding, make sure to ask him why he is my best man.
  • Dwayne Burke
    Dwayne "DB" Burke
    Cousin
DB, as I call him, is more like a brother than a cousin to me. We did everything together when we were younger. We used to run the streets of Miami like we owned them. Some of the best memories I have as a young lad was with this crazy dude. When we were 14, we used to go to clubs like Lime Key and Baja Beach Club and battle cats on the dance floor. I remember practicing our moves in his living room for hours. I couldn't have the biggest party of my life without my cousin by my side.
  • Mathew Samuel
    Mathew Samuel
    Best Friend & Roommate
Mat has been my partner in crime from Middle School to High School and all throughout College. He is the embodiment of a what a true friend is. We have been through just about every major life experience together. Although Mat and I live in separate cities now, our connection has never been lost. I can't express how much I love this little Indian, and I'm so honored to share another big moment in my life with one of my best friends!
  • Rodney Lake
    Rodney Lake
    Elementary School & Oldest Friend
What can I say about my boy Rod"nix"? He is the most Jamaican/non-Jamaican friend I have. This Brooklyn born native speaks the meanest "Patois" you have ever heard. He makes me laugh every time we hangout. Rodney was the first real friend I made in Miami after moving there in the early 80s. No matter how much time has passed, or how far away we live, our friendship has never changed. Every time I see Rodney, we always pick up right where we left off. I'm so happy he's a part of my life.
  • Bert Francis
    Bert Francis
    Brotha from Anotha...
Bert and I should have met when we were kids because I feel like I have known him forever. Bert is Melanie's brother-in-law, but he is my brother in spirit. From the first day I met him we hit it off. The caribbean connection roped us in, but the trueness of our friendship, and the love and respect we have for each other, is what bonds us. Over the years, Bert has grown to be an important part of my friendship circle. I have a small group of trusted friends that I would give my life for, and Bert definitely tops that list.

Bridesmaids

  • Yesenia Rosado Bane
    Yesenia Rosado Bane
Matron of Honor & Best Friend
I've known Yesenia for more than half my life! We've been inseparable best friends since high school. I couldn't have picked a more perfect person to be my matron of honor! Yesenia is one of the funniest and sweetest people you'll ever meet. We have the same dry sense of humor, and she may be the only person that truly understands all of my jokes. We haven't lived in the same city since high school, but we've managed to love and care for each other from a far distance. She's truly my person.
  • Melissa Whiting
    Melissa Whiting
    Older Sister
Liss, as I call her, is one of those people that only come into the world once every thousand years. She is literally the most caring and non-judgmental person I've ever known. I don't think she's ever done a bad thing in her life! She has been the epitome of a role model, and I'm glad I've finally stopped wanting to be her. She's ridiculously smart, funny and gorgeous, and has such a strong sense of who she is. I'm so honored that she is part of my wedding party, and I'm super lucky to have her as my sister.
  • Monique Francis
    Monique Francis
    Oldest Sister
Monique and I are separated by 11 years, but we've grown so much closer as we've gotten older. She is gorgeous, intelligent, and has such a different outlook on life that is so refreshing. She's a natural-born caretaker and healer. Her level of care and her ability to be still are two of the things I love the most about her. She's been such an integral part of my relationship with Winston, and has always been our biggest fan. I couldn't have been blessed with a better oldest sister.
  • Ashley Baker
    Ashley Baker
    Close Friend
Ashley is my pseudo-bestie! She is a true testament of how friendship isn't based on how long you've known someone, but how well you know them. We met and instantly clicked and became friends. I absolutely adore her carefree spirit, and her love of life. Ashley is my go-to person when I want to let go and have a good time. We may have a hundred pictures of us dancing and laughing. She has one of the best smiles I've ever seen, and I adore and love her to death.
  • Lauren Taylor
    Lauren Taylor
    Close Friend
Lauren is one of my closest friends, and I can't begin to express how much I love her. She is my sense of calm and balance. It's so rare that she's ever in a bad mood! She has such a warm and beautiful heart, and it radiates from the inside out. Everything with Lauren is pink roses and daffodils. She has such a positive attitude and a strong faith. But-I think what I admire the most about Lauren, is her ability to wear 5 inch heels.

Gifts

Crate & Barrel

Dear friends and family,

We registered at Crate & Barrel. We only did one store because one of us, who will remain nameless, has anxiety and is easily overwhelmed.

We love all of you so much, and having you there is more important than gifts. But, if you choose to honor us with gifts to start our new life together, we are asking that you choose from the following:

1. Use the money to get to Atlanta.

We'd much rather you spend the money to be there on our special day. Trust me-we have plenty of pots, pans, and food processors.

2. Visit www.crateandbarrel.com to access our registry. On the wedding & gift registry page, search for Melanie Prattis or Winston Williams.

If there is something that is not on there that you think we can't live without, feel free to get it. Neither of us really know what household items we truly need.

3. We are honeymooning in Anguilla!! If you'd rather give us a donation that we can use during our honeymoon, that's cool too.

Lots of Love,

Melanie & Winston
